๐ฅ Snacks.
We arenโt usually advocates for reliance on snacking. It plays a part, perhaps at the start of your journey when we are dealing with adrenal fatigue or ๐ unbalanced blood sugar, but over time, once we have worked hard on building a strong foundation we encourage clients to free themselves from the notion of always needing something to eat. โ โ ๐ฆ Most often we are thirsty, bored or habitually eating a snack, or looking for a reward for a hard day via food. โ โ Snacking can also be caused by eating a meal too high in carbs, without enough protein, fiber or healthy fats, this triggers a spike and drop in blood sugar making us crave a snack (usually sugary or salty) to keep us going. ๐ช โ โ
When we are working on your foundation, we generally avoid a lot of the packaged snacks and encourage clients to reach for real food. โ
๐ซ 2-3 olivesโ ๐ฐ A handful of nuts/ seedsโ ๐ A piece of fruitโ ๐ฅ Celery or cucumber sticksโ โ Right now, this might seem impossible, but we have guided hundreds of clients to free themselves from the snacking rollercoaster, by helping them to create a strong foundation, that doesnโt need to be fuelled by snacks all day long.
