Product of the week:

Greencurrypaste

Mekhala curry pastes

Why do we like it?

If you read the ingredients of a lot of sauces and pastes you will see why we like this brand. They use clean, organic ingredients like coconut sugar and Himalayan pink salt. With no artificial preservatives, colours or flavours. There curry pastes are our favourite (most other brands on the market use inflammatory oils, sugars and flavourings.)

If you are using the dressing range take note of the sugar content- it is coconut sugar which has more nutrients and a better GI than white sugar but if you’re watching sugars you might want to skip the dressings.

How is this for clean ingredients:

Green Curry Paste Ingredients: *Green Chillies, *Shallots, *Garlic, *Lime Juice, *Galangal, *Lemongrass, Himalayan Pink Salt, *Soy Sauce, *Coriander Seeds, *Cumin Seeds, *Coriander Root, *White Peppercorns

How we use it?:

We love using the curry pastes in stews and curry. The curry pastes are great mixed into a neutral broth to help jazz up the flavour alongside a squeeze of lime. It also works really well mixed with some apple cider vinegar and used as a rub on roasted vegetables.
